Hele Box Solo Bundle

Easy to put together. Question is with the bands having tension will it stretch out if I leave it together for extended periods. ?

I absolutely love my Hele box! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while, didn’t want to custom build a platform that would only fit in one car make/model.
The Hele is very easy to set up, it’s sturdy and fits into my 2014 Subaru Forrester with plenty of room for gear. It also packs down into a compact bag for storing. I sleep super well on it and it makes alpine starts a breeze! Looking forward to more adventures with this setup! I fully recommend!

I got the idea to sleep in my car at trailheads from a friend. I'd done it before in older vehicles whose seats folded flat, but newer ones don't, so I tested the idea before buying anything. It was uncomfortable on its own, which is why I started researching platforms.

After a couple of days of comparing options, I chose Hele for its versatility and because it packs into the storage bag it comes with. I ordered the solo model and stubbies for the extra headroom. I've used it as a guest cot at home, a sleeping platform in our family tent, and a tailgate table, which I didn't expect. With my 4-inch trifold mattress on top, it solved the discomfort.

I've used it for lunchtime naps, 20-minute rest stop breaks on long drives, and several nights at provincial parks. I'm 5'8" and have the solo unit in my 2021 RAV4, which I've paired with a Thule awning for road trips. The handwritten thank-you note after my purchase was a nice touch.

I had a Cabela's extra large cot, I'm a big guy and wanted to upgrade. I went with the hele duo, and so far I'm very happy with the quality in the product. I bought the two sets of extended legs and I can really put that thing high up in the air even way higher than my Cabela's. The aluminum slats that are coated are very durable and should last a long long time plus also the lightweight aluminum frame. My only complaint is how the design is for holding the poles in that type of clamp system but it works and I've had no issues with it. The quality of the system is phenomenal and it has so much potential over a conventional cot and the ability to adjust the legs to adjust for any terrain or tilt unlike the cot if you put a cot on a hill it will slide you off to the side this thing will adjust the legs out from that you could literally put it probably at 45 degrees and correct for that. With the extended legs I live in a wet Florida atmosphere and sometimes at night in the tent under heavy rain if water gets in my tent I'm so far off the ground it would have to rain probably four or five feet before I would get wet that's how ridiculous it is high it's so much better than a cot and you can use a it in the back of pickup truck bed, cars or what have you there's so much potential with it. With my old system you had the cloth dry rotting the fabric and the metal frame was so heavy with the new system the frame is extremely light being aluminum the slots are heavier but they're aluminum the only thing I see that could happen in the future would probably be the elastic that holds the slats together May wear out over time but that's easily fixed but you're talking years of use in aunny uv prone areas. Anyway I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for a bed that you can take with you this does the same thing as my Ikea slotted bed and with a Amazon foam mattress really thick 4 in it's just like my normal bed. I haven't tried out his foam blow up bed thing but I'm not a big fan of air mattresses I've had bad history of going to sleep and in and up on the floor kind of thing and then I switched over to foam and that was the end of that. So if you're looking for a travel bed that will work in your car or in the back of a pickup truck or in a swamp and give you the same thing that you have with your bed at the house good night sleep that sort of thing this is your ticket and the quality will last you probably a very very long time and I would highly recommend it and I would buy again if needed. I also appreciate the note in the box that comes with it from the owner of the company thanking you for buying the product and if you have any questions to reach out to him so that was definitely a person who cares about his products and customer support which if he continues to do that I think this product will explode into a very lucrative business. Also too it makes a great table if you need a table.

The versatility of this platform exactly suits my needs, which are to flatten the unlevel floor of my Toyota Grand Highlander to accommodate my dog’s “crate” (actually a pen) with easy access to the vehicle tie down points, and be able to quickly clear it for a sleeping platform, or removing the Hele for seating needs. The stubby legs are perfect for maximizing height above the platform, still leaving enough room underneath for gear stowage. The platform is light but very sturdy. Despite my “senior “ status I can easily lift it to access items in the under floor stowage compartment of the vehicle. The front legs, set long ones to reach the vehicle floor, take up very little space leaving plenty of space for larger items.
I am quite delighted at how this affordable, robust, well thought out product checks all the check boxes for me.
