The helebox solo allows me to fit comfortably and reduce storage. I was originally planning on building my own, but there’s no way I’d be able to make something that breaks down so efficiently. The bag doubling as a storage bag helps a lot with clutter. Very excited for spring 2025

As soon as the box arrived, I pulled everything out and started putting it together. Assembly was straightforward and directions were easy to follow. I put the frame in my Subaru Forester and worked on leveling everything out. Once that was done I rolled out the slats and fastened them to the frame. The whole process was easy with no glitches. I put a sleeping pad on top and tried it out: Perfect!

I am extremely happy with my Hele Box and can’t wait to hit the road.

A-mazing! My first trip with Hele Box put Murray’s product to the test and it passed with more than flying colors. Dispersed camping often means un-level ground. My Tacoma had not 1 but 2 fall lines going on and because Hele Box has 6 telescoping legs I leveled my bed in a matter of minutes. Phenomenal design makes it easily adaptable to varying conditions. Murray thought through a bunch of possible scenarios when designing this sleep system and it shows.

And the pad, my goodness the pad, it’s from the gods. I’ve used Sea to Summits thickest/highest R value camping pad for years and the pad you can purchase from Hele Outdoors blows it way out of the water. Highly highly recommend purchasing it with your Hele Box sleep system.

My 2nd trip with Hele Box sleep system I preferred to sleep in the back of my truck verses in my friend’s house! It’s that comfortable and props you up higher in your vehicle for optimal views. I mean come on, who wouldn’t want to stare out at Santa Fe’s skies from the comfort of their own hotel on wheels?!! Ranch animals all approve this message.

2023 Tacoma Double Cab w/ 6ft bed

I was very excited to unpack and test-fit my new Hele Box. It fit my 2014 Honda CRV perfectly! I was very impressed by the quality and attention to detail right down to the packaging. Highly recommend!

I own a 5th Gen 4Runner and have looked at a variety of sleeping options for my SUV over the past couple of years. Either they are too expensive, too clunky, or too permanent once installed. When I came across the Hele Box, it was perfect! When I'm traveling, camping and off road exploring, I have a very comfortable bed to sleep on, and it breaks down and stores away in my garage when I turn my SUV back into a daily driver. The bed is very study and the setup only takes a few minutes and is easy to do. I purchased the air mattress with my order, and it is incredibly comfortable. Bonus points for the bed becoming a table and for the gear bag becoming additional storage which fits perfectly under the bed.

Murray was quick to respond to my emails and questions and took the time to check in with me, once my order shipped. This is the level of service you can expect from Hele Outdoors!

What sets this apart from other car platforms are the independently adjustable legs and it can pack down to a manageable size. This platform is lightweight and doesn’t take up a ton of space while storing it which was a big plus for me. I don’t have room to store bulky and heavy plywood platforms. The Hele box is sturdy and each leg can be independently adjusted to make it level over uneven surfaces and includes longer telescopic poles to fit in a footwell, which will allow it to fit a large range of vehicles. I definitely recommend this as a quick solution to camping out in your car and beyond!
