The independently adjustable legs & configurations allow the Hele Box to fit in most SUVs/Trucks/Vans - straddling over obstacles, seats, or leveling out slopes.
Adjust the height to strike your perfect balance between headroom & storage. At 6ft of length - it's enough room for you to stretch out after a long day of adventure and new memories.
The sleeping platform surface is 72” x 40” and accommodates sleeping pads up to 78” x 44” wide.

Storage System
Storage space is worth its weight in gold when car camping.
The Hele Box's carrying case doubles a compartmentalized storage container, fits snug under the sleeping platform, and slides out for easy access to your gear/goodies when car camping. It comes with three compartment dividers that you can remove or adjust to your needs!
The wooden topper provides additional under/over storage while car camping. You can easily unlatch and slide it forward to access gear that's stored under the sleeping platform - or load gear on top of the sleeping platform and secure it down using the rails as latch points.
The width of the Hele Box Duo allows you to fit 2 storage bags underneath the sleeping platform. Add on a separate storage bag before check out so you can roll out with a matching set.
Camping Table
Tired of lugging around that rusty old table every time you go car camping? So were we! The Hele Box's sleeping platform is light enough to easily remove, swing around, and use as a gathering area to share old stories and create new memories. You can run it out the back of your tailgate with the set of already included extended legs OR add a separate set of extended legs to your cart before checkout so it can stand independently on its own.

Shipping in USA - Shipping is through UPS ground, the costs will be estimated for you in your cart when you go to check out.
Shipping to Canada - Shipping is through UPS ground or USPS, the costs will be estimated for you in your cart when you go to check out. You will also need to pay a custom/duty charge that will only be sent to you once it makes it to the customs warehouse in Canada. You will be alerted by the carrier via email, and the Hele Box will not be sent to your address until the duty charge is paid.

FAQ
How does it make a 6ft sleeping platform when my trunk/cargo space is less than that?
If you are using the Hele Box in an SUV, a set of longer adjustable legs are attached to the front of the frame. These legs sit in the footwell of the rear seating and level out the frame with the other 4 shorter legs in the rear of the frame.
What if my cargo space has different heights or isn't completely flat? How will the sleeping platform be flat?
No problem! All 6 legs are independently adjustable allowing you to dial in a flat sleeping platform even if your cargo area isn't. The Hele Box car camping system can straddle over obstacles, seats, and level out even the steepest of slopes. Check our vehicle fitment guide or send us a message and we'd be happy to confirm with you!
If the vehicle isn't listed on your fitment list, does that mean it won't fit?
No! We've tested the Hele Box in more than 50 makes/models/generations of vehicles, but there are SO MANY MORE out there we've yet to test. The Hele Box car camping platform will fit in almost any SUV/truck/van that has 72" of length for the full length of the frame or 66" for the system in "shortie" mode. Does it come with the components needed for a flat space (like a truck bed/van) or do you need an extra set of short legs?
Every Hele Box comes ready to be set up on a flat space/ground (all 6 short legs) or an SUV (4 short legs and 2 long legs for the foot wells). You don't need to buy anything extra :)
When are you releasing the 2-person sleeping platform?

Can you buy an extra set of legs separately?
Yes! You can now purchase an extra set of extended legs to use the table as a standalone.

I'm not one who leaves reviews but, for Hele Outdoors, it was a must. I purchased the Hele duo for me and my pup. Set up is super easy and the fit is perfect. It also packs up nice, nice in its carry bag. I totally forgot about the included Allen wrench. Once I used it to make the legs more secure, I was even more impressed with the quality. It is very comfortable. I placed my Exped Duo mattress on it (uniflated) [I previously purchased the Exped for tent use but wanted to see if I could make it work on the platform as well so I wouldn't have multiple mattresses and it was perfect!] Not only will I use it in my truck but, I will also place it in my tent. Side note: If you are putting this in an Ineos Grenadier, you will need to remove the back seat cushions that get flipped up (the part your bum goes on) and rests against the back of the front seats when you expand the cargo space. This platform is a beautiful piece of art! I am so happy with my purchase. Well done Murray and thank you for the personal note attached to the carry bag. I am excited to start my adventures with Hele Box! P.S. I hope you will eventually have merchandise. I would LOVE a Hele Outdoors hoodie. = )
The Hele Duo fits well in the back of our 2024 Honda CRV. The setup, take down , and storage is simple, quick, and easy.
I decided to buy the Hele Sleeping Platform because it seemed simple, straight forward, versatile, and easy to use. It also looked like a high quality product. I was not disappointed.
There are several other system that would have filled this same need for us. Some of them are similar in price and some are about twice as expensive. None of them had all of the qualities that we were looking for, except the Hele Duo.
Well the Midwest weather has finally become somewhat stable. I finally was able to go out on a overnight , in car camping trip by a river. I'm a 70-year-old, 6 foot ,230 pound man that, when I slept on the Hele Cot, my air mattress lost a little air overnight, so I tossed and turned quite a bit over the night. The Hele Cot was very very stable ! And I got the legs setting up so my bed platform is very high ,so basically when I sleep on my side I got about 6 to 8 inches before my hips hits the cars ceiling. I am truly impressed with the quality of the Hele Cot. With the long legs extended out there was no problems at all. The price might seem a little high but if the qualities last year after year , it'll definitely be worth it! My Ford Escape is kind of like on the smaller side of a SUV. So I do have to lean back the front seat back forward and I practice climbing from the driving position and get myself turned around on the cot without opening the doors . You know to be stealthy. But over the past few months since I purchased the Hele Cot , I have set it up in the car , in the garage and tried it out on different times with different positions basically just experimenting.

I recently purchased the Hele duo sleep platform from Hele Outdoors. I am planning to use it for a trip to the Grand Canyon later this year. I wanted to make sure it fit correctly in my 2025 4runner. With the rear seats in folded position one. I was able to install the Hele platform. Once I put my sleeping pad on top of the Hele I did notice that there is not a ton of room between my head and the roof of the vehicle. I believe that a better option would be to remove the rear seats for my trip. That will allow me to lower the platform closer to the floor. I believe this will make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. I am not sure yet but I think that when the seats are removed there will be sort of a depression where the seats sit in the vehicle. The Hele system should allow me to compensate for that. I haven't slept on the Hele yet but it seems very stable.
The solo Helebox is the solution I’ve been looking for! After trying many DIY solutions, folding mattresses, camper cots, plywood leveling platforms… etc etc I finally splurged on one of these boxes. And I’m glad I did!
It is the optimal solution for maximum space efficiency, and gives me (and my growing puppy) plenty of room to sleep/camp together. Forever.
