Hele Box Duo in the Honda Element!

I bought the Hele Box Duo for my Honda Element, and boy does it fits perfect!

And with some very basic mods that Murray has provided a YouTube video for, you can shorten the length of the bed to 66-inches or less, so you can also drive while the bed is fully out - which is something I was specifically looking for. No other bed in the market allowed for a length of 66-inches or less. I',m 5'-6" and that's perfect length.

Also! If you want to regain more space for the front seats to recline and move back, you can saw off the ends a bit. I cut about 2 more inches off the end (see images).

Keep in mind, I've yet to use this bed, but I wanted to leave a review for Honda Element owners, so they know that this is also an option for them :)

Thanks Murray and Team for the product! Hope to see a Honda Element How-to video nect!

Just what I needed!

A well thought out sleeping platform that came with clear instructions and was easy to assemble. I didn't do it in 5 minutes first time, but probably will after a couple more times. The carry case that doubles as under platform storage is going to help reduce the clutter in my car.
I was worried about headroom in my Subaru Outback with the standard legs, so ordered the Stubbies also, however I did not feel that cramped and will probably use the standard legs and enjoy the extra storage underneath.

Fits nicely in 2024 Land Cruiser

I was looking at multiple solutions to sleep in my new Land Cruiser. I really like how the Hele Box solo provides a full size, level sleeping space, while not taking up so much space as well as being easy to setup and remove. I looked at the platform type solutions, but they would be time consuming to remove when I wanted to use the back seat. I also like how the Hele Box doesn't limit the storage space around (and under) it like the platforms with drawers do.

Good product - Just fits in a '24 Crosstrek

I'm impressed with the quality. The aluminum frame is heavier than I expected (which is good). Also, this platform is highly configurable/adaptable. If you have a strange application, it can be shortened, modified, changed, etc.. Modifying it will void your warranty of course, but it's really nice to buy something that can be easily modified these days.

I have successfully fit the single version into the back of a '24 Crosstrek Wilderness. It barely fits in the full 72-inch by 24 inch configuration. If shortened to 67 inches, it fits a little easier. One leg will need to set on the center console for either configuration to work though. I put a chunk of 1/4 inch-thick wood under the leg on the center console to protect it. A guy can sit in the rear driver-side passenger seat to take off his shoes, then maneuver up onto the sleeping platform on the passenger side. The passenger seat will need to be all the way forward (and tilted forward). And, it's a lot easier to do this if the driver seat is moved/tilted forward as well. It's a tight fit when the platform sets high enough to get the storage box underneath. My shoulders are too wide to lay on my side, but back and stomach sleepers should be able to make the Solo work in a Crosstrek. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures when test fitting.

By the way, I bought the bundle with stubbie legs. You will need at least one stubbie leg to sit on the center console (circled in red). The other leg obviously sits on the floor.

Perhaps there are alternative configurations for the Crosstrek, but this is the only way I could get the system to sit solid and flat.

Fits my 2024 Land Cruiser (Prada 250); fine quality

To keep my review brief, I will say that everything on Hele Outdoor’s website and YouTube videos is accurate and I think, a very fair review and description of how the product works and performs.

I have a 2024 Land Cruiser and the solo model fits very nicely with my 2nd row seats folded flat, not rolled forward) thought I can’t see any reason why it would not fit that equally well. First time setup is easy, takes a few minutes to tweak the individual legs lengths, but subsequent setups are very easy and fast.

The 24/25 LC had a hump in the middle and it was easy to set one leg shorter to go on the hump and the other a little longer to set on the passenger floor.

It’s high quality, lays flay, is easy to setup and repack, maybe 5 minutes +/- after your first time setup which is a few minutes longer.

My pics are not pretty but maybe of interest to ‘24+ Land Cruiser owners.

I recommend this for the Land Cruiser
