We use the Hele Duo in our Tacoma SR5, Access Cab. It fits perfectly in the bed, with the standard leg height coming just above the wheel wells. The Hele Box is well designed, lightweight, super easy to set up and take down—less than five minutes either way. As you see from the photo, there is room for storage beneath the frame. We use a 3” foam pad and find that is sufficient for comfortable sleeping. Overall, a welcome product—saves a lot of effort and time doing a self-built kit.

Nicely engineered and well designed! I love how even the carrying bag it comes in is made to be used for storage underneath the Hele platform (if you don’t need the stubby legs). I ordered the solo with the pad thinking it would be fine for me but expecting my husband to want something a little thicker. Turns out he was fine with it. Now I need to order another one for him, once they are back in stock. We set it up in the living room the day it arrived and I tested it out with a nap. I want to get a floor mat to put down in the back of our new 2025 Toyota Sienna before I make all the adjustments to the legs. Still being very careful with the new van interior. We’re planning on doing some car camping with it next year.

As a travel writer I extensively. My new van is a considerable downsize from my Sprinter. Getting my living space just right is so important.
In the Toyota Sienna the Hele Solo just barely fits. I wish I had gotten two sets of short poles rather than one long and one short. The legs do want to drop into the seat compartment holes so I am making an adapter.
I use a mobility scooter (TravelScoot) and it fits folded nicely under the Hele. The fold back platform makes loading the scoot and all of its bits easy. Space is so limited that every tiny bit is important.
This is an amazing system!! I needed a bed platform, sometimes single sometimes double.
Two singles solves this, also allows me to fold down a backseat and build two singles over the top of the back seat.
Makes for so much needed flexibility. Love it ! I needed to move the center braces but that was super simple. Great new addition to my camping days / nights.
