Took the Solo Box out for its inauguration in my '23 Toyota Highlander this week. It was surprisingly stable as well as comfortable. Nothing moved while sleeping.
I'm not huge, but at 6'1" and 220 pounds it was a fair test.
The Highlander is pretty streamlined in back, I opted for the Stubbies to maximize the headroom, which I also found to be adequate.
The Sleeping Pad is also quite nice, though I still need to figure out how to deflate it.
Murray has created a super product and has excellent people skills as well. In a world of self checkouts and or people who dont speak proper English this is beyond refreshing!! Installation in my 3rd Gen 4Runner was a snap and it is quiet, stable and makes car camping EASY. Thanks again Murray!!!
Perfect fit in my Honda CRV
Took my family of 5 camping this weekend. Wife and I slept in a GX on our duo for the first time and we put the kids in the tent! :). Best camping sleep we could have asked for; easily removed from car for day trips as a family; had room to store clothes/fly rods etc underneath; still haven't used as a table yet but eager to test this feature! I have been trying to setup my car for camping for a long time. When I first saw the Hele Box system, I was interested, but skeptical. I’d been disappointed too many times. Still, I wanted a light weight, comfortable bed for my CR-V. This is more than I dreamed of. It’s so easy and quick to put together. It fits perfectly in the space I had planned, and it’s comfortable! Very comfortable. I just leave it in the car, but I could pop it out in minutes if I wanted to. Great product and the personal note on the box was a very nice touch. Love working with quality small businesses.
