fits my '08 sequoia. love the adjustments you can make on it to level out the sleeping platform. mainly using (as a commuter) for many impacted by the Return to Office (RTO). thanks for helping me save money instead of paying for another mortgage! the reason i gave 4 stars is when i received the product, the legs were scratched up (not packaged well), but still functional. i just haven't had time to repaint the legs.

Quick purchase on a family trip in a new grenadier. Wanted a platform for trunk storage and something I could sleep on if need.

Getting ready for our maiden voyage to the Southwest with my Hele platform! So far, assembly easy, fits perfect in back of ‘08 Ford Ranger, but might tweak with Stubbies. Off to Sedona, Santa Fe and who knows! Keep you informed!
2025 Land Cruiser 1958- I set it up in the short configuration bc I’m 5’3”, it’s the perfect length to have full use of the front seat. I just got a cheap 4” memory foam mattress from Amazon, assembly was super easy. I’ll probably keep the frame in one piece and just store it behind my sofa and just remove the legs for storage. I can’t wait for my next trip to try this out.
I ordered the Hele Box x1 in August to make travel in my Subaru Outback Wilderness more comfortable. The platform arrived in December just in time for me to take it on an inaugural cruise to Death Valley. I stayed at Furnace Creek Campground for four nights while at DVNP on a photography expedition. The Hele Box was easy to set up and level, and comfortable to sleep on. I got good sleep all four nights.
If there's a con, it would be that there isn't much space between my head and the ceiling of the Outback. I did opt to purchase a different, thicker pad for the platform than the product Hele Outdoors offers. That added about 2-inches of loft but also makes the setup very comfortable. Besides, it's dark at night. I can't see the ceiling :-)
I really like that using the platform allowed me recover much of the storage space that would have been lost by sleeping on a pad on the floor of the rear area. I used the Hele Box soft case to transport my food and clothes for the trip. That allowed me to keep the space behind the driver's seat relatively clear for access into and egress from my sleeping bag. Great job by Murray and the folks at Hele for designing the case specifically for this use.
I'm looking forward to doing more trips like the one to Death Valley and to sleeping in comfort on my Hele Box.
